    Project Goals

    • Establish a baseline assessment of Baraga County’s cyber vulnerability, threats, detection methods, response capabilities and staff capacities. 
    • Assess current measures in place to assure Continuity of Baraga County Government in the wake of a terrorist attack
    • Engage in a planning process that jointly involves Baraga County Representatives and Michigan State University experts to enhance current Homeland Security plans and protocols for Cyber Security and Government Continuity
    • Develop sustainable planning tools that allow Baraga County’s Emergency Management Plan and the Emergency Management Committee to support local units of government increase cyber security, harden information assets, and develop plans to deter, detect and recover from any cyber terrorism activity whether it be domestic or foreign
    • Increase the local capacity of  units of government in planning for cyber security and continuity of government
